Vice President, Product

We are looking for a Vice President, Product to lead the product and technology organisation for Atome Financial. This role will own the end-to-end product strategy and execution, working across Product Management, Frontend, Backend, Engineering and Technology teams to build scalable, customer-centric financial products.

The successful candidate will combine strong product leadership, technology understanding and commercial acumen, with the ability to operate in a fast-paced fintech environment and translate business strategy into scalable technology and product solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Leadership

• Define and execute the overall product vision, strategy and roadmap in alignment with Atome Financial's business objectives.
• Own the end-to-end product lifecycle, from customer discovery and product strategy through development, launch, optimisation and scaling.
• Identify opportunities across consumer finance, digital lending, payments and other financial services to drive customer and business growth.
• Translate market trends, customer insights and business requirements into clear product priorities and execution plans.
• Establish product metrics and ensure product decisions are driven by data, customer insights and commercial outcomes.

Product & Technology Execution

• Lead the overall product engineering organisation, partnering closely with engineering and technology leaders across frontend, backend, platforms and infrastructure.
• Ensure strong alignment between Product, Engineering, Technology, Data, Risk, Compliance and Operations.
• Drive effective product development methodologies, prioritisation and delivery processes.
• Ensure products are designed and built with appropriate scalability, security, reliability and regulatory considerations.
• Balance speed of execution with long-term technology scalability and maintainability.

Product Innovation

• Drive innovation across Atome Financial's digital products and customer journeys.
• Identify opportunities to leverage AI, data and emerging technologies to improve customer experience, product decision-making and operational efficiency.
• Establish a culture of experimentation, continuous improvement and rapid iteration.
• Stay ahead of developments across fintech, digital banking, consumer lending and payments.

Commercial & Business Impact

• Partner with senior leadership to translate business priorities into product and technology initiatives.
• Drive product-led growth across customer acquisition, engagement, retention and monetisation.
• Own and monitor key product and technology KPIs, ensuring teams are focused on measurable business outcomes.
• Identify opportunities to improve product economics, operational efficiency and customer lifetime value.

Financial Services & Regulatory Environment

• Work closely with Risk, Compliance and Legal teams to ensure products are developed and launched in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements.
• Ensure responsible lending, customer protection, data privacy and financial crime considerations are embedded into product design and development.
• Partner with regulatory stakeholders where required, particularly for new products, markets and financial services capabilities.

Organisation & People Leadership

• Build and lead a high-performing regional Product and Engineering organisation.
• Develop product and technology leadership capabilities and establish clear ownership and accountability across teams.
• Create a strong culture of collaboration between Product, Engineering, Technology and Business teams.
• Attract, develop and retain high-calibre product and technology talent.
• Establish clear operating rhythms, governance and decision-making frameworks across the organisation.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience across Product, Technology, Engineering or related disciplines, with significant experience leading large-scale product organisations.
• Strong experience in fintech, digital banking, consumer finance, payments, lending, BNPL or other financial services.
• Demonstrated experience leading end-to-end product development, working closely with frontend, backend and engineering teams.
• Strong understanding of modern technology architecture, APIs, platforms, cloud infrastructure and software development lifecycle, without necessarily being hands-on technically.
• Proven track record of launching and scaling consumer-facing digital products.
• Experience operating in a regulated financial services environment is highly advantageous.
• Strong commercial understanding and ability to connect product and technology decisions to business outcomes.
• Experience leading regional or multi-market teams is preferred.
• Strong understanding of data, analytics, AI and emerging technologies and their application to product development.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leadership and drive alignment across multiple functions.
• Experience building and scaling organisations in a high-growth or transformation environment.
