Job Description
Our client is an international fund services provider seeking an experienced Vice President - Middle Office to lead its Treasury Operations function in Singapore.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Treasury Operations teams responsible for client cash movements, investment funding, distributions, capital calls and other payment activities.
- Oversee payment processing, approvals, callbacks, high-value transactions and fraud risk controls.
- Manage Standard Settlement Instructions (SSIs), including account setups, amendments, validation and periodic reviews.
- Maintain effective payment governance, approval matrices, maker-checker controls and treasury risk management procedures.
- Lead client onboarding and service implementation, including treasury operating models and payment workflow design.
- Act as a senior point of contact for clients, resolving operational issues and supporting service delivery.
- Participate in client pitches, RFPs, solution discussions and operational due diligence reviews.
- Collaborate with Fund Accounting, Investor Relations, Trade Operations, Compliance and Technology teams.
- Oversee team performance, resource planning, talent development and succession planning.
- Drive operational improvements, risk mitigation initiatives and payment security enhancements.
- Coordinate audit and SOC requirements, ensuring compliance with internal policies and control standards.
Key Requirements
- Minimum 7 years of financial services experience, with a strong background in treasury operations, cash management, payments or banking operations.
- Proven experience leading teams and managing operational service delivery.
- Strong understanding of payment processing, wire transfers, SSI management, callback procedures and treasury controls.
- Experience managing client onboarding, treasury operating models and payment workflow design.
- Familiarity with global custodians, correspondent banks, transfer agents and paying agents.
- Exposure to hedge funds, private equity, real estate funds or other institutional investment structures is advantageous.
- Strong client relationship management, analytical and problem-solving skills.
