About the role
Doctor Anywhere is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team as the Vice President, Marketing and Communications. As the leader of our regional marketing department, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies to drive brand awareness, customer acquisition, and revenue growth across various channels.
As AI reshapes how healthcare brands engage, acquire, and retain customers, this role is evolving to lead the intelligent integration of AI-powered tools across all marketing disciplines — from predictive analytics and generative content to automated campaign optimisation and AI-driven personalisation at scale.
This role will require a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, a proven track record in marketing, and a deep understanding of the healthcare industry.
This role is based in Singapore, reports directly to the Founder, CEO.
A summary of the key responsibilities are as follows:
- Develop and Execute Marketing Strategy: Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive marketing and communications strategies aligned with the company's goals and objectives. Drive initiatives across digital marketing, content marketing, performance marketing, product marketing, and corporate communications to effectively reach target audiences and drive business results. Embed AI-first thinking into strategic planning, identifying where AI tools can accelerate growth, reduce time-to-market, and enhance customer experience across Southeast Asia.
- Team Leadership and Management: Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to a diverse team of marketing professionals. Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture, setting clear goals and expectations, and supporting the team in achieving their objectives. Ensure effective resource allocation and talent development to drive departmental success. Champion a culture of AI fluency across the marketing function, upskilling team members to confidently leverage AI tools in their day-to-day work and building the team's collective capability to operate as an AI-native marketing organisation.
- Digital Marketing: Oversee digital marketing initiatives, including website optimization, SEO/SEM, email marketing, social media strategy, and online advertising campaigns. Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices to continuously enhance digital marketing efforts and maximize ROI. Integrate AI-driven tools for audience segmentation, real-time personalisation, predictive bidding, and automated campaign management to increase efficiency and impact across all digital channels.
- Content Marketing: Drive content strategy and development across various channels to engage and educate target audiences. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to create compelling content that resonates with our audience and supports brand positioning and thought leadership. Harness generative AI to scale content production — from health education articles and social copy to personalised messaging — while maintaining brand voice, clinical accuracy, and regulatory compliance.
- Performance Marketing: Lead performance marketing efforts, leveraging data-driven insights to optimize campaign performance and drive customer acquisition and retention. Implement testing methodologies and analytical frameworks to measure and improve marketing effectiveness and efficiency. Deploy AI-powered attribution modelling, propensity scoring, and dynamic creative optimisation to sharpen targeting, reduce cost-per-acquisition, and improve lifetime value across B2C and B2B segments.
- Product Marketing: Partner with business development, product and regional teams to develop go-to-market strategies for new products and features. Develop product positioning, messaging, and collateral to effectively communicate value propositions and drive adoption among target customers.
- Corporate Communications: Oversee corporate communications initiatives, including public relations, media relations, and crisis communications. Serve as a spokesperson or train spokesperson for the company and build strong relationships with media outlets, key stakeholders, and industry influencers.
- AI Transformation & Innovation: Own the AI transformation roadmap for the marketing function. Define and execute a strategy to make the marketing team AI-native — embedding AI tools, workflows, and decision-making frameworks across every marketing discipline. Evaluate and pilot emerging AI technologies (including generative AI, agentic AI, and AI analytics platforms), establish governance and responsible-use guardrails in the healthcare context, and drive measurable improvements in productivity, personalisation, and marketing ROI through systematic AI adoption.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, product development, customer success, and operations, to ensure alignment and integration of marketing initiatives with overall business objectives. Foster a culture of collaboration and teamwork to drive collective success.
About you
- Bachelor's in Marketing, Business, or related field; MBA preferred.
- 15+ years in marketing with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience across both B2C and B2B marketing strategies, ideally in healthcare or a related industry.
- Strong expertise in brand positioning, digital marketing (SEO/SEM, social, email, paid), and traditional PR — with the ability to drive consistent messaging across all channels.
- Track record of building and executing marketing and communications strategies that deliver measurable business outcomes.
- Data-driven mindset — comfortable setting KPIs, using analytics tools, and optimising campaigns based on performance.
- Exceptional communicator who can craft compelling narratives for diverse audiences — consumers, providers, partners, investors, and media.
- Experience in crisis communications and regulatory environment navigation to protect brand credibility.
- Collaborative leader who works effectively across product, operations, and clinical teams to align marketing with service delivery.
- Hands-on experience with AI and martech platforms — including generative AI, AI-powered CRM, marketing automation, and predictive analytics — with the ability to evaluate and govern their use responsibly in a regulated environment.
- Demonstrated ability to lead AI adoption within a marketing function: defining an AI-first roadmap, upskilling teams, and embedding AI-native ways of working.
- A start-up attitude - you take full ownership of things that you do, willing to go out of your comfort zones and take on new challenges.
