Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Management
- Manage and mentor a team of operations professionals, providing strategic direction, coaching, and performance management.
- Foster a high-performing culture focused on operational excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Operational Oversight
- Oversee trade lifecycle processes including trade capture, confirmation, settlement, and reconciliation across multiple asset classes.
- Ensure operational readiness for new products, regulatory changes, and strategic initiatives.
Risk & Control
- Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and internal control frameworks.
- Proactively identify operational risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Conduct post-trade reviews and reporting to track operational performance and exceptions.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as a key liaison between front-office trading desks, risk, finance, compliance, and technology teams.
- Resolve complex operational issues and provide guidance on process improvements.
Process Innovation & GenAI Integration
- Lead initiatives to streamline workflows, enhance automation, and improve operational efficiency.
- Champion Generative AI applications to automate repetitive tasks, enhance data analysis, and support predictive analytics for risk management.
- Leverage AI-driven tools for knowledge management, reporting, and training.
Governance & Reporting
- Provide regular updates to senior management on operational performance, risk metrics, and strategic initiatives.
- Ensure proper documentation and adherence to operational governance standards.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related discipline; advanced degree or professional certification (CFA, FRM) is a plus.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in banking operations, with substantial exposure to Global Markets and Derivatives.
- Proven leadership experience in managing high-performing teams and complex operational environments.
- Deep understanding of derivatives products and post-trade processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate ambiguity.
- Familiarity with industry platforms (Murex, MarkitWire) and regulatory frameworks.
- Demonstrated experience or strong interest in applying Generative AI technologies in financial operations.
