VP for IT Network Data Domain shaping the future of shipment data, real time visibility, and enterprise integration across the world's most international logistics network.
About the role:
You will lead DHL Express's global shipment data and integration platforms, owning real-time operational systems and driving large-scale modernization across 40+ programs.
You will oversee a multicultural workforce of 300400 people and manage significant global build/run budgets.
This role carries high strategic influence and shapes the technology backbone of DHL's worldwide network.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and execute the strategic roadmap for shipment data, integration, and core processing platforms.
- Ownership of DHL's Master Data Management capabilities ensuring data accuracy, consistency, lineage and governance across shipment and operational systems.
- Ensure optimal utilization of 20M Build and 70M Run budgets
- Align technology investments with global business priorities across Operations, Customs, Finance, and Quality.
- Build, develop, and inspire high-performing global teams.
- Act as a trusted partner to senior business stakeholders.
- Proactively identify risks, remove blockers, and ensure consistent global delivery.
Leadership Scope:
- 25 direct leaders (platform owners, architects, senior managers)
- 360 indirect engineers, product leaders & architects across regions
- Ownership of :50 global platforms & applications
- 40+ multi-region transformation programs under management
What You Bring:
- 15+ years of leadership experience (currently serving as a Senior Director or above), with 8+ years owning a major domain or platform ecosystem
- Strong experience with:
- API/EDI platforms
- enterprise integration
- operational data & real-time event processing
- mission-critical in-house systems
- Proven ability to deliver large-scale, global programs on time and within budget
- Experience managing large, distributed engineering and product teams
- Ability to influence CIO/Board-level stakeholders with clarity and confidence
- Strategic thinker with hands-on understanding of complex platform environments
- Track record of modernization, simplification, and operational excellence
