About the Role
The Vice President of Food & Beverage, Asia will report directly to the Vice President, Operations, SEA and is responsible for driving F&B strategy and performance across all hotels in the Asia region. The Vice President, Food & Beverage, Asia will oversee and provide the General Managers with strategic guidance, operational support, and performance oversight to maximize asset value, exceed guest expectations, and create a culture of high associate engagement that fosters professional growth and development.
Key Areas of focus:
Operational Excellence
- Establish, communicate, and monitor F&B strategies aligned with corporate goals and brand standards.
- Drive consistency of service, guest engagement, and product delivery across all F&B outlets.
- Conduct periodic audits to ensure compliance with safety, brand, and operational standards.
- Champion the adoption of innovative technologies and systems to optimize performance and guest experience.
- Oversee development and enforcement of group-wide policies, SOPs, and training frameworks.
Financial Leadership
- Ensure each property's F&B division is operated as a profitable business unit with strong financial accountability.
- Lead the regional F&B budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring delivery of financial targets.
- Critically review property-level performance and support turnarounds where required.
- Identify and execute cost optimization opportunities while safeguarding product and service quality.
- Oversee vendor partnerships and procurement practices, ensuring compliance with governance standards.
Strategic Growth & Development
- Position at least one outlet in each property as a market-leading talk-of-town destination.
- Drive cross-border best practice sharing and continuous operational improvement.
- Lead the Group's F&B sustainability agenda in line with the Go Green initiative.
- Analyze regional trends, consumer behaviors, and competitor activities to anticipate shifts and maintain market relevance.
- Review and evolve organizational structures to maintain agility and competitiveness.
Concepts, Innovation & Projects
- Spearhead regional innovation in concepts, menus, and service offerings to stay aligned with lifestyle and dining trends.
- Oversee renovation, repositioning, and new outlet launches to ensure timely, budget-conscious delivery.
- Provide leadership in F&B planning for new hotel developments, including feasibility studies, concept creation, and business plans.
- Partner with consultants and stakeholders to ensure successful construction and launch of new projects.
- Develop and execute comprehensive pre-opening plans, training programs, and stabilization strategies.
Leadership & Talent Development
- Mentor and develop regional and property-level F&B leaders, building a strong leadership pipeline.
- Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and collaboration across the F&B division.
- Provide strategic guidance, coaching, and empowerment to GMs and F&B Directors.
- Represent the company at industry forums and strengthen its positioning as a hospitality leader in Asia.
General & Administrative
- Safeguard MHR's reputation for guest satisfaction, operational excellence, and food safety.
- Ensure all F&B manuals, policies, and systems are current and relevant.
- Support corporate priorities, regional marketing initiatives, and long-term growth strategies.
- Maintain clear reporting and communication with the Vice President, Operations, SEA.
Qualifications
- Minimum 15 years of senior-level F&B leadership in international hospitality groups or large-scale food service organizations, including at least 5 years in regional/corporate roles.
- Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related discipline; advanced qualifications preferred.
- Proven success in leading multi-country F&B operations with measurable impact on profitability and brand positioning.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to analyse financial performance and deliver results.
- Demonstrated expertise in concept innovation, outlet repositioning, and new project launches.
