Role Overview:
- Financial reporting role within the Financial Control Division
Role Description:
- Managing Nomura Group reporting (US GAAP) with headquarters.
- Managing the Singapore country monthly, quarterly and annual reporting close (IFRS).
- Close collaboration with Headquarter colleagues for Group Reporting and Management.
- Legal Entity regulatory oversight and management for Singapore entities.
- Transaction review and analysis including engagement with stakeholders across the organisation.
- Technical interpretation, advisory and implementation of Accounting Standards.
- Managing key stakeholders and being a trusted partner to support business growth and initiatives.
- Managing the monthly and quarterly taxation reporting and completion of the annual tax returns (ECI and Final tax return).
- Managing the annual audit process for Singapore entities.
- Leading the implementation of process and control efficiencies.
- Effective management of the offshore team.
- Maintain and enhance the overall control and governance framework.
- Document and maintain process narratives and ensure compliance with internal control standards.
- Represent Finance Control in local and regional strategic project initiatives.
Skills, experience, qualifications, and knowledge required:
- Minimum 8 years working experience with Banks, Financial Institutions or Big Four Audit Firms.
- Qualified Accountant (CPA, ACCA or equivalent Accounting qualifications).
- Japanese language skills to coordinate with Nomura Headquarters
- Previous experience in US GAAP and IFRS reporting.
- Strong technical, analytical and problem solving skills.
- Must be able to work well under tight deadlines and handle multiple responsibilities.
