We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Vice President, Financial Crime Advisory IWPB.
In this role you will:
- Partner with Retail Business, Local/Regional Compliance and Risk teams to drive implementation of new regulations in line with Group policies, enabling WPB business growth and initiatives.
- Provide clear regulatory and policy advice on WPB products, services and business initiatives to support safe, compliant delivery.
- Take a proactive approach to identifying Financial Crime Risk (FCR) changes and assessing potential impacts on SGH business models.
- Advise Retail Business on new initiatives/projects to manage and mitigate financial crime risks.
- Support the Head of AML/Head of Financial Crime IWPB, SGH in developing and continuously reviewing a framework to monitor financial crime developments affecting Singapore.
- Help drive regional and local regulatory change implementation plans, quantifying impacts and coordinating actions to address, manage and mitigate those impacts.
- Assist in implementing AML/CTF, proliferation financing, ABC, sanctions, tax transparency and anti-fraud policies/systems, ensuring practical, effective risk management and efficient resourcing aligned to business needs.
- Work with FCC/Investigations SMEs and perform QA sample checks on first line reviews, providing active challenge on FC controls/CCM deliver FCC compliance training to business teams.
To be successful you will need:
- Degree-qualified with extensive FCC experience across AML/CFT, sanctions, fraud and AB&C, applying sound judgement to deliver AML/FCC projects.
- Strong working knowledge of MAS AML/CFT Notices and related guidance (guidelines, circulars, information papers), particularly for private banking and corporate trust businesses.
- Able to investigate and escalate incidents, assess regulatory impact, and produce high-quality reporting for regulators and governance forums.
- Confident in managing regulatory matters and interacting with regulators knowledge of HKMA AML/CFT expectations is desirable.
- Strong risk and conduct mindset, able to challenge the business on risk assessments and adequacy of controls, translating risk policy into business-relevant language for senior stakeholders.
- Strong analytical capability to interpret large volumes of information/data and provide practical, cost-effective solutions and succinct management summaries AML qualifications (e.g., ICA Diploma/ACAMS/IBF) are an advantage.
