To support the MD of IADAP (both in Credit Review section and general audit) and take a lead to manage in
Planning, executing and reporting its activities (including but not limited to existing assignments and other assignments in relation to organizational changes, as and when required).
Directing and overseeing the staff on credit review and audit engagements (including collaboration with general audit in credit related area).
Administering other various matters to maintain the departments function as appropriate and act as liaison with IAD Head Office sections including Credit Risk Review Team.
Carrying out duties, in conducting and leading both on-site audits (in all credit related initiating departments, branches and subsidiaries across Asia Pacific region), off-site reviews (including but limited to reviewing of self-assessment and asset assessment results), and various special reviews or continuous monitoring based on a variety of themes as appropriate.
Assessing accuracy of customer categorization and credit ratings based on credit related procedures and recommend changes, if deemed appropriate.
Identifying deficiencies in credit processes and any subsequent credit risk management framework (including but not limited to banks lending policies and/or the departments policies and procedures) to suggest improvements.
Maintaining and keeping up-date on current knowledge of all policies and procedures related to lending, credit risk assessment and problem loan monitoring.
Maintaining and keeping up-date on current knowledge of developments in the industry and regulatory environment. Keep abreast of topical issues and new or pending laws/regulations that may affect banking, in general and credit review / audit, directly.
Monitoring and keeping up-date on current knowledge of specific corporate and structured transaction analysis, including financial and industry analysis, which is required to conduct credit review / audit.
Maintaining or further developing interpersonal skill to interact with auditee effectively for credit review / audits.
Any other ad-hoc duties that may arise and as assigned by your manager.
Requirements
A Bachelors Degree, with at least seven years of experience in either the banking industry or any other corporations and institutions and possess knowledge and understanding of credit risk management (Customer categorization and Credit Rating).
Additional professional qualifications such as a Certified Internal Auditor and/or Certified Public
Accountant (CIA/CPA) are preferred.
Willing to travel within Asia Pacific region (approximately once every three months).
