Senior Motor Vehicle Mechanic

Job Scope:

1. Perform advanced diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair of motor vehicles (engine, transmission, electrical systems, etc.)

2. Conduct routine servicing and preventive maintenance to ensure vehicles are in optimal condition

3. Lead and supervise junior mechanics and technicians, providing guidance and training

4. Inspect vehicles and identify mechanical and technical faults accurately

5. Ensure all repairs are carried out in accordance with manufacturer standards and safety regulations

6. Use diagnostic tools and equipment to analyze vehicle issues efficiently

7. Prepare service reports, job sheets, and maintenance records

8. Liaise with customers or service advisors to explain repair issues and recommendations

9. Ensure workshop cleanliness, safety, and proper use of tools and equipment

10. Monitor spare parts usage and assist in inventory control

11. Support workshop operations and ensure timely completion of jobs

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Motor Vehicle Mechanic, with senior-level expertise
• Strong knowledge of automotive systems (mechanical & electrical)
• Experience in diagnostic equipment and modern vehicle technology
• Leadership or supervisory experience preferred
• Relevant certifications (e.g., automotive/mechanical) will be an advantage
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
