In this role, you'll assist with identifying and evaluating investment opportunities in the startup ecosystem. As an analyst, you'll help source, assess, and monitor potential investments, working closely with senior investors. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in sourcing and evaluating new investment opportunities by conducting in-depth market research and financial analysis.
- Help analyze startup business models, market dynamics, and competitive landscapes to determine investment potential.
- Support due diligence efforts by gathering data, assessing financials, and preparing investment memos.
- Conduct financial modeling and valuation analysis to assess the feasibility and scalability of investment opportunities.
- Monitor portfolio companies, tracking performance metrics and identifying areas of improvement or new opportunities.
- Contribute to the preparation of presentations and reports for internal stakeholders and potential investors.
- Attend industry events, startup pitch competitions, and networking sessions to stay up-to-date with trends and opportunities.
- Assist in maintaining relationships with entrepreneurs, co-investors, and other venture capital professionals.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills with experience in Excel or similar tools.
- A deep interest in the startup ecosystem, venture capital, and emerging technologies.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create detailed reports and presentations.
- Familiarity with market research tools and databases (e.g., Crunchbase, PitchBook, CB Insights) is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities.
- A proactive and curious mindset with a willingness to learn.
- Fluent in English (additional languages are a plus).
