Job Summary

You will attend to vehicle breakdowns and recovery jobs on-road or roadside, ensuring safety and compliance with guidelines while responding quickly under various weather and traffic conditions, including shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults in light and heavy vehicles using diagnostic tools and equipment to identify issues accurately
• Perform repairs and replace defective or worn-out vehicle components such as brakes, transmission, clutch, suspension, and steering to restore vehicle functionality
• Conduct preventive maintenance, regular servicing, and inspections to reduce the risk of vehicle breakdowns and ensure operational reliability
• Respond promptly to breakdown and recovery calls at any time, including shifts, weekends, and public holidays, to minimize vehicle downtime
• Drive safely and comply with all safety guidelines while working in various weather and traffic conditions to protect yourself and others

Required competencies and certifications

• Proven experience of 2 years or more working as a mechanic, preferably with exposure to breakdown, recovery, or roadside assistance
• Valid Class 3 driving license
