The Scope
You will be part of Esco Aster's Engineering team and contribute to the overall site mission and objectives. You will support the operation and maintenance of all clean and black utilities, water system, HVAC and various facilities equipment including fire protection systems. This position will involve the startup phase, supporting coordination with the engineering firms on the design and construction of the facility, and ensuring installations comply with safety guidelines, design intent and quality standards.

Job Responsibilities
.Support plant utilities operation and facilities maintenance (HVAC, electrical system, water system, infrastructure services) in accordance with regulatory guidelines and good engineering practices.
.Assist in ensuring continuous utilities operation to support plant activities.
.Execute maintenance and operation activities, including work prioritization, in compliance with operational, regulatory, and safety requirements.
.Ensure utilities and facilities is in safe operating environment by complying to all essential statutory requirement to protect our employee, equipment and the environment.
.Ensure all work activities are carried out according to site EHS procedures and in compliance with global EHS procedures/standards.
.Ensure audit readiness by complying with effective standards, regulatory/statutory and GxP requirement to protect product and prevent major compliance observation.
.Contribute to cost optimization and efficient utilities operation initiatives.
.Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to sustainability (energy & water), safety, and equipment reliability.
.Review and approve the utilities log sheets and work orders for compliance with quality requirement.
.Coordinate maintenance activities with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure timely execution.
.Provide timely support in troubleshooting and resolving equipment issues.
.Collaborate with utilities operation and maintenance teams, to sustain safe, reliable and efficient operations.
.Support preventive maintenance (PM) programs and scheduled shutdown activities.
.Assist in the execution of maintenance work orders through the site system.
.Provide technical guidance and knowledge sharing to technicians where required.
.Support compliance with GMP requirements in maintenance activities.
.Assist in the development and improvement of utilities operation procedures and maintenance programs to maintain compliance with regulatory codes, safety and budgetary requirements.
.Support spare parts planning and inventory tracking to maintain system uptime.
.Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for maintenance and service activities.
.Support optimization of utilities equipment to improve performance and reduce downtime.
.Participate in change management processes for technical modifications.
.Support troubleshooting, root cause analysis and failure investigations of utilities systems to improve equipment reliability.
.Participate in deviation investigations, CAPA implementation, and timely closure of records.
.Support engineering projects, site expansion activities, and other assigned tasks.
.Collaborate closely with Quality and Laboratory Management teams to ensure utilities and facilities systems comply with GxP standards and reliably support product quality.
.Undertake additional tasks assigned by leaders as and when appropriate.
Requirements
.Degree/Diploma in Chemical Process, Mechanical, Marine or Industrial Engineering with at least 3 years relevant experience in the pharmaceutical/chemical industry.
.Good knowledge and hands-on experience in utilities operation and maintenance, with strong troubleshooting skills.
.Familiarity with systems such as chiller systems, cooling towers, compressed air, diesel generators, cold rooms, process gases, water systems (DI/WFI), steam, and wastewater treatment.
.Working knowledge of HVAC, central plant utility systems, Building management systems (BMS), Environment monitoring system (EMS) and cleanroom technology.
.Familiarity with GxP requirements for routine utilities and facility operations.
.Exposure to startup, commissioning, and qualification activities is an advantage.
.Basic understanding of CMMS systems (master data setup, work order execution, PM scheduling, spare parts management and tracking is an added advantage.
.Able to work independently with good initiative and a proactive mindset.
.Excellent oral and written communication skills with strong computer literacy.
.Able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
.Familiarity with industrial engineering, regulatory standards, codes and best practices.
.Willing to perform multiple and cross-functional tasks.
