Key Responsibilities
- Manage, maintain, and provide support for system and network infrastructure, including system upgrades, troubleshooting, monitoring, and reporting.
- Perform tasks in accordance with established procedures and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Provide Level 1 and Level 2 technical support, including ticket creation, incident management, and service request handling based on the defined escalation matrix.
- Participate in a 24/7 on-call standby rotation within the department team.
The assigned engineer for the respective month will be responsible for assigning tickets to the appropriate Subject Matter Expert (SME).
The SME will be engaged to resolve the issue or schedule a remote troubleshooting session when required.
- Coordinate and support Data Centre facility operations, including on-site standby support or assigned tasks when necessary.
- Manage and participate in IT maintenance and support activities outside of office hours, including monthly maintenance and weekend standby rotation when required.
- Perform system monitoring using centralized management tools to ensure system health and performance.
- Ensure the availability and reliability of Data Centre services through proactive performance monitoring and fine-tuning of monitoring parameters.
- Monitor backup job statuses and perform backup administration to ensure data integrity and recovery readiness.
- Perform software deployment and system patching and generate regular patch compliance and status reports.
- Maintain strong communication and attention to detail, as the role requires frequent coordination with customers and vendor IT support teams.
- Support the deployment and maintenance of Critical Financial Systems, including:
- Utilizing Tanium for endpoint management (training will be provided).
- Scheduling and executing quarterly patching activities.
- Generating reports on patching compliance.
- Troubleshooting endpoint or server issues related to patching.
Requirements
- Minimum 1.5 years of relevant IT experience, particularly in Windows and Linux server environments.
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Windows Active Directory.
- Basic understanding of VMware ESXi infrastructure.
- Basic knowledge of network infrastructure, including switches, wireless networks, and firewalls, will be an advantage.
- Strong willingness to learn new technologies and continuously develop technical skills.
