Job Summary

We are seeking a solid Unix Administrator to join our environment build team. This role requires deep technical knowledge of Unix/Linux systems, and familiarity with enterprise infrastructure tools and standards.

Key Responsibilities

Install, configure, and maintain Unix/Linux servers (RHEL).

Implement and maintain system security, patching, and compliance in line with CIS benchmarks.

Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and networking issues, including application-to-database connectivity problems.

File system and storage management, Manage disk partitioning and logical volume management (LVM), including resizing and splitting mount points.

Automate routine tasks using shell scripting (Bash, Perl, Python) or configuration management tools.

Maintain backup and disaster recovery procedures for Unix and VMware systems.

Collaborate with application teams to support deployments, upgrades, and system migrations.

Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.

Participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours support as needed.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

2+ years of hands-on experience in Unix/Linux system administration.

Strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, NFS, etc.).

Experience with storage systems (SAN/NAS) and backup solutions.

Familiarity with ITIL practices and change management processes.

Preferred Qualifications

VMware Certified Professional (VCP) certification.

Linux Administration Certification (e.g., RHCSA, RHCE, CompTIA Linux+).

Soft Skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and documentation abilities.

Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.

Detail-oriented with a proactive approach
