The Value-Driven Care (VDC) is an initiative by MOH that shapes the future of patient care by combining clinical excellence with cost-effectiveness. Focused on 17 high-impact medical conditions, VDC leverages data-driven insights and close collaboration between healthcare professionals and administrators to deliver better outcomes at sustainable costs.
As an intern, youll be part of a mission-driven effort to:
- Drive real-world improvements in healthcare delivery
- Promote transparency and innovation in clinical and cost data
- Identify best practices that reduce waste and enhance care quality
The selected interns will participate but not limited to the following:
- Work closely with our analytics team to develop and maintain interactive dashboards that transform complex data into meaningful insights.
- Design and maintain dashboards using Tableau
- Translate business needs into data-driven visualizations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data context
- Optimize dashboard performance and usability
- Validate data accuracy and support documentation
- Assist with ad-hoc analysis and reporting needs
About You
- Be pursuing a Bachelor Degree in Business Analytics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems or related field
- Graduating in May/Dec 2026 or May 2027
- Proficiency in Tableau Desktop and Server
- Strong understanding of data visualization best practices
- Experience with SQL and relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle)
- Familiarity with ETL workflows and data modeling
- Knowledge of calculated fields, LOD expressions, and dashboard interactivity
- Experience with Python and Data wrangling skills
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Demonstrated interest in data visualization (coursework, projects, or portfolio preferred)
- Good team player with strong analytical and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Passionate and keen to make a difference to re-imagine the future of HealthTech
