Role Overview
As an UI/UX Engineer, you will be responsible for building and maintaining UI/UX design wireframes to visualize front-end content and interactive design elements, ensuring the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
You will also be involved in developing both web and mobile applications, creating new user-facing features, and building reusable code and libraries for future use.
Key Responsibilities
- UI/UX Design - Design wireframes, visualizing front-end content and interactive elements to ensure intuitive user experiences.
- Application Development - Design, develop, and maintain web and mobile applications using JavaScript/TypeScript, ReactJS, and React Native (iOS/Android).
- Feature Implementation - Develop new user-facing features ensuring technical feasibility and optimal performance.
- Code Optimization - Build reusable code and libraries for future use, ensuring maintainability and scalability.
- Testing & Debugging - Develop unit tests and utilize debugging tools to ensure software functionality and reliability.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration - Work closely with other team members and stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables.
- Deployment & Support - Deploy applications to production environments and provide post-implementation support, including maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Continuous Improvement - Assess opportunities for application and process improvement, contributing to team knowledge bases and best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Skills
- UI/UX Design - Proficient in UI/UX principles and experience using design tools like Figma.
- Frontend Development -Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript, ReactJS, and React Native frameworks.
- Web Technologies - Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS, and CSS frameworks like TailwindCSS or similar.
- State Management - Experience with state-management patterns such as Redux, Flux, Zustand, or similar.
- Debugging & Testing - Skilled in using debugging tools and developing unit tests to ensure code quality.
- Version Control - Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
Soft Skills
- Problem-Solving - Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
- Communication - Effective verbal and written communication skills for collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
- Adaptability - Ability to learn new technologies and adapt to changing project requirements.
- Team Collaboration - Experience working in agile development environments and collaborating within cross-functional teams.
Experience & Education
- Experience in working with cross-functional teams to translate product requirements into intuitive user interfaces using Figma, Sketch, and Adobe XD.
- Conducted usability testing and iterated on designs based on user feedback and analytics.
- Led design-to-development handoff by interpreting high-fidelity mockups and prototypes into responsive, pixel-perfect UI components.
- Maintained and contributed to design systems and reusable component libraries in React, ensuring consistency across platforms.
- At least 2 years of experience in frontend development, specifically with JavaScript/TypeScript, ReactJS, and React Native frameworks.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
