UI Designer

Minimum Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience as a UI Designer or Product Designer, specifically within B2B SaaS, Fintech, or complex Marketplace platforms.
• Proven track record of designing complex interfaces (dashboards, analytics, or multi-step transaction flows) that simplify user decision-making.
• Strong understanding of Responsive Design and Mobile-First principles, ensuring consistency across web platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Travel Tech or Payments, specifically designing for API-driven products or booking engines.
• Basic understanding of Front-End constraints (HTML/CSS/React) to ensure design feasibility and smooth handoffs to Engineering.
• Experience with Prototyping tools (E.g Protopie or Figma advanced prototyping) to demonstrate high-fidelity interactions and transitions.

Bakuun is building the infrastructure that powers global travel distribution, through our suite of integrated solutions from connectivity APIs to marketplace distribution to payment processing.

As a UI Designer, your mission is to make our technical complexity invisible. You will be responsible for the visual language of our products, ensuring that every interface is not only aesthetically refined but also highly functional and easy to navigate. This is a role for a designer who thrives on visual precision and wants to define the look and feel of the next generation of travel-tech infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and scale our UI Kit and Design System in Figma, ensure a unified visual language and component library across all product modules.
• Create pixel-perfect UI designs for web and mobile, focusing on clarity, hierarchy, and accessibility for complex data sets and transaction flows.
• Develop interactive prototypes to test and communicate user flows, transitions, and micro-interactions to stakeholders and developers.
• Own the handoff process, provide clear documentation, assets, and specs to the Engineering team to ensure high-fidelity implementation of your designs.
• Identify UI friction points and visual debt within the existing product. Propose and execute design refinements that improve user clarity and task completion rates.
• Partner closely with Product Managers, UX Designers and Engineers to translate technical requirements into intuitive visual solutions, maintaining a balance between speed and design quality.
