(A)Job Summary:
The Tunnel Engineer supports the tunnel construction team in daily site activities, monitoring tunnelling works, and ensuring construction is carried out safely and in accordance with project specifications.
(B)Essential Job Functions:
The Tunnel Engineer is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
- Assist in supervising tunnelling activities such as excavation, lining, and support works.
- Monitor tunnel progress, workmanship, and compliance with approved method statements.
- Record site data including excavation logs, ground conditions, and daily reports.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and site teams on tunnel-related activities.
- Support safety inspections and ensure compliance with WSH and project safety requirements.
- Assist in resolving technical and construction issues under guidance of senior engineers.
- Any ad-hoc task that assigned by the manager.
- Report to Tunnel Manager / Deputy Tunnel Manager / Sr Tunnel Engineer.
(C)Minimum Qualifications/ Job Experience:
- Recognized bachelor's degree in engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in tunnelling or underground works.
- Large diameter (over 10m diameter) bored tunnelling experience.
- Willing to work on site and in shift work if required.
