About the role
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Trust Accounting Manager to join our team. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive accounting and reporting services to our diverse portfolio of trust accounts, ensuring accurate and timely financial information for our clients.
What you'll be doing
Perform accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions related to trust accounts
Prepare periodic financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports for trust accounts
Reconcile trust account balances, including bank, investment, and other asset and liability accounts
Assist with the preparation of annual tax returns and other regulatory filings for trust accounts
Liaise with clients, investment managers, and other stakeholders to provide financial information and address inquiries
Maintain comprehensive documentation and filing systems for all trust account records
Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of trust accounting operations
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, Chartered Accountant preferred
4-5 years of experience in trust accounting, investment accounting, or a similar financial reporting role
Strong understanding of trust accounting principles, procedures, and applicable regulations
Prior experience in public and private market securities, fund accounting and knowledge of SFRS/IFRS is an advantage
Proficient in the use of accounting software and spreadsheet applications
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines
Strong communication and customer service skills
