Truck Driver Job Responsibilities:
- Drive and operate trucks.
- Follow instructions locate and read location and road maps.
- Pre-inspect truck.
- Pick up goods and materials, verify loads for accuracy, and deliver them as instructed.
- Load and unload cargo.
- Responsible for basic vehicle maintenance comply with all safe work practices, policies, and processes at all times.
- Complete and verify paperwork for accuracy
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid and current Commercial Driver's License (CDL)( Class 4)
- 2+ years professional driving experience or related work experience
- Must have a clean driving record with no recent moving violations
- Proficient at driving, maneuvering, and parking large vehicles
- Physically fit and able to sit for long time periods, perform truck maintenance, and lift 25 pounds comfortably
- The candidate should be dependable, hardworking and an effective communicator
- Able to work nights, weekends, extended hours, and holidays as needed
