Margin Responsibilities
- Processing & validating margin call on with bilateral counterparties, clearing broker and prime brokers Investigating and challenging margin call amount.
- Verifying of Uncleared Margin Rules vs non-reg IM margin call
- Ability to analyse margin models and understand the difference across different counterparty
- Understands the market standard and difference on margin model across futures exchanges, clearing houses, bilateral counterparties.
- Processing of collateral pledging or cash wire transfer of margin call.
Treasury Responsibilities
- Working very closely with firm group treasury team in driving optimization of firm cashflow balances.
- Identifying opportunities to optimize cash balances interest.
- Analysing cashflow usage pattern of the fund and reporting to group treasury.
- Forecasting of cashflow usage.
Internal Financing Responsibilities
- Managing monthly margin usage attribution to portfolio managers.
- Understanding the internal financing charge model and analysing gaps in charges compared to the street.
- Managing queries from portfolio managers and explaining the charge model
Initiatives & Project Responsibilities
- Run initiatives and projects to improve current process workflow in the 3 main aspects of the role.
- Be involved in a new system setup & integration.
Requirements:
- 3-8 years relevant experience in collateral / treasury ops or middle office.
- Good working knowledge of margin terminology, i.e. Initial Margin, Independent Amount, Uncleared margin rules.
- Understands the pledging of margin mechanism governed by ISDA collateral sales agreement terms.
- Product knowledge in assets classes, FX, FX Options, FX vols, Equity, Equity vols, Interest Rate derivatives, interest rate vols, Bonds, Total Return Swaps, Credit Default Swap, Commodities and listed products will be a bonus to have.
- Analytical and driven, detail oriented and resourceful in problem solving.
- Team player, ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines.
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced, challenging and dynamic environment.
- Strong control mindset and sense of ownership.
- Good to have intermediate coding skills in VBA or Python.
- Also good to have valuation knowledge on pricing which is required to verify variation margin.
