Treasury Executive - Energy Trading

Description

We are partnering with an established international energy and commodities trading company that is expanding its Treasury and Trade Finance team in Singapore due to the continued growth of its trading activities and increasing transaction volumes.

Role

Reporting to Treasury Manager. The Treasury Executive will support the execution and structuring of trade finance activities across the global trading business, working closely with banks and financial institutions on financing terms, credit facilities, letters of credit, bank guarantees, and other trade finance instruments. The role will partner with Trading, Operations, Treasury, Risk, Finance, Accounting, and IT teams to improve trade flows, optimize working capital and credit facility utilization, and support efficient commercial decision-making. Responsibilities also include monitoring liquidity and collateral usage, calculating and communicating trade finance and funding costs, developing KPIs and reporting dashboards, and driving automation and digitalization initiatives to improve transparency, efficiency, and scalability across treasury processes.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree in Finance, or a related discipline, with at least 3-5 years of experience in Trade Finance, Treasury, Structuring, or a comparable function within banking, energy trading, commodities, or another complex commercial environment. The candidate should have a strong understanding of trading lifecycles, credit facilities, bank relationships, trade finance instruments, commodity exchanges, collateral management, liquidity, and working capital structures. Strong analytical, commercial, communication, and stakeholder-management skills are also important, together with the ability to work effectively across multiple functions in a fast-paced trading environment.
