Travel Retail - BI & Data intern

Our portfolio includes skincare brands SHISEIDO, Clé de Peau Beauté, IPSA, ANESSA, THE GINZA, Drunk Elephant, and ELIXIR; makeup brand NARS; and fragrance brands narciso rodriguez and ISSEY MIYAKE PARFUMS.

MAIN PURPOSE

The BI Intern will support the regional BI & Data team in documenting BI and data projects, preparing training materials, and enabling user adoption. This role will help create clear, structured documentation for BI solutions, data assets, KPI definitions, and governance processes, and support TR finance and business users in transitioning from Excel-based ways of working to BI tools.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in maintaining BI project documentation, including business requirements, solution design, process flows, UAT scripts, release notes, SOPs, and user guides.
• Support data documentation, including data dictionaries, business glossaries, KPI definitions, source-to-target mappings, data lineage, metadata, data quality rules, dataset documentation, and data flow diagrams.
• Help document data governance artifacts, such as data standards, ownership models, RACI, data quality issue logs, and control documentation.
• Support change management and adoption activities by preparing training decks, quick guides, demo scripts, FAQs, communication emails, and SharePoint/Teams content.
• Help organize and coordinate training sessions, demos, and feedback collection.
• Work with BA, BI developers, Data Governance, Data Experts, and business users to capture meeting notes, action items, and follow-ups.
• Assist with basic data validation, dashboard testing, and UAT where needed.

REQUIREMENTS

• Undergraduate or Master's student in Business Analytics, Finance Tech, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to translate technical concepts into clear business language.
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
• Exposure to Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI tools.
• Experience in similar projects is a plus.
• Detail-oriented, organized, proactive, and collaborative.
