The Transaction Operations function is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end post-trade lifecycle, including corporate actions, proxy voting, reconciliations, and regulatory reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Provide oversight and act as the first point of escalation for all matters related to corporate actions
- Independently manage and resolve issues and escalations involving internal stakeholders, outsourced service providers, and custodians
- Partner with outsourced service providers to ensure timely and accurate processing of mandatory and voluntary corporate action events across global markets, including:
- Gold copy validation and creation
- Election instruction submission
- Event processing, settlement, and reconciliation break resolution
- Coordinate with fund managers and proxy voting service providers on proxy voting submissions
- Support corporate action and proxy voting-related regulatory reporting
- Assist with new transitions, new instruments/markets, and ad-hoc operational projects
- Act as a subject matter expert for projects and initiatives impacting product development or operational processes
- Lead and support incident management activities
- Stay current with market developments and drive process enhancements within Transaction Operations
- Proactively manage operational risks and controls, ensuring a robust control environment in collaboration with Transaction Operations leadership
- Continuously review and improve workflows, systems, and processes through automation, innovation, and technology adoption.
Requirements:
- 5-7 years of experience in Middle Office / Operations within the Asset Management industry
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related discipline
- Strong understanding of asset management operations and post-trade processes
- Experience with Aladdin is preferred
- Proven experience managing and overseeing outsourced service providers
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to document processes and engage stakeholders effectively
