Job Description

This position supports the Business Development and Training teams to strategize and drive competency development of FA firms to ensure activation, productivity, and professionalism. It co-leads and develops a team of leaders, ensuring that they are motivated and competent to deliver business-driven training outcomes aligned with organizational goals.

The role supports the Head of Training in developing, driving, and delivering learning strategies, development pathways, and curriculum for current and future roles. It builds and strengthens rapport with FAs through routine and regular contact, communicating PIAS standards and expectations, resolving training and development concerns.

Additionally, the role manages training projects that drive company-wide strategic and digital initiatives across the channels. It engages with key stakeholders and leverages technology to derive data-driven insights and scale personalized training recommendations, supported by the Learning Management System. It collaborates with industry partners/associations to ensure PIAS's interest is represented and ensures best-in-class training by keeping up to date with the latest trends, best practices, and technology. It champions and drives change.

Purpose of the Role:

Training Needs Analysis

  • Conduct training needs analysis w.r.t. regulatory & compliance requirements for new and existing PIAS Representatives

Design & Develop Training Programs

  • Develop training modules on regulatory & compliance with specific learning objectives & outcomes for PIAS Representatives
  • Create training contents and assessments that relate directly to the learning objectives & outcomes for tier 1 to tier 3 PIAS representatives.

Training Effectiveness

  • Adopt relevant post-training evaluation methodologies to evaluate the respective training modules effectively.
  • Design & develop post-training follow-up & follow-through.
  • Explore & create use of modern technologies to efficiently measure training effectiveness.

Administration of Training Programs

  • Identify leaders/potential advisers & leaders who are eligible for training.
  • Prepare training logistics as a trainer (pre-during-post training)

Automation & Digitalisation

  • Innovate & automate learnings.
  • Enabling digitalization in training & development
  • Digitalisation of financial sales advisory tools

Requirements:

Experience

  • Minimum 8 years experience in financial advisory competency and/or sales quality
  • Minimum 8 years experience in the financial advisory industry
  • Strong understanding of insurance products, financial planning strategies and regulatory compliance (MAS, FAA, PDPA etc.)
  • Ability to work collaboratively with senior stakeholders and adapt training programs to align with business objectives
  • Strong analytical skills to measure training effectiveness and deliver improvements

Education

  • Academic: Diploma/Degree holder
  • Minimum Requirements: CMFAS M9, M9A, M5, HI, M8 & M8A (Mandatory)
  • Certification in training methodologies (e.g ACTA/ACLP or equivalent) is preferred
