Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Learning & Development leader to drive the planning, design, and implementation of corporate training programmes aligned with the organisation's strategic objectives.
This role will lead enterprise-wide capability development, digital learning transformation, and external partnerships, while building a structured training ecosystem to support operational excellence and long-term growth within the F&B and hospitality sector.
Key Responsibilities
Training Strategy & Programme Development
- Analyse existing training frameworks and identify gaps, improvement areas, and enhancement opportunities.
- Design and implement structured training programmes across all staff levels, from frontline operations to leadership.
- Ensure programmes are aligned with business strategy, operational standards, and future capability requirements.
- Develop competency frameworks and structured career progression pathways.
Digitalisation & Innovation
- Lead the digital transformation of training programmes, including e-learning platforms, blended learning models, and training analytics.
- Implement scalable systems to track training effectiveness and workforce capability development.
Quality Assurance & Programme Effectiveness
- Develop and oversee operational assessment initiatives (e.g. service audits, mystery diner programmes) to evaluate training impact.
- Monitor KPIs to measure programme success and recommend continuous improvements.
External Partnerships & Funding
- Establish and manage relationships with external training providers and certification bodies.
- Oversee grant schemes and collaborate with relevant agencies to optimise available funding and industry support initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and funding requirements where applicable.
Academy Development
- Lead the transformation of the internal Learning & Development function into a structured Hospitality Academy.
- Position the academy as a centre of excellence for capability building across the organisation and potentially the wider industry.
Requirements
- Proven experience leading Learning & Development or corporate training functions, preferably within F&B, hospitality, or service-driven industries.
- Strong programme design and curriculum development experience.
- Experience driving digital learning initiatives and transformation.
- Familiarity with grant administration and working with external agencies is advantageous.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Strategic thinker with strong operational execution capabilities.
