Trainee Teacher (Place-and-Train For Childcare)

About the Programme:

Join our Place-and-Train (P&T) programme and kickstart your career in early childhood education. This structured programme combines on-the-job training with sponsored professional qualifications, preparing you to become a fully qualified childcare teacher while gaining hands-on experience in a preschool environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support teachers in daily classroom activities and routines.

• Assist in caring for children, including supervising play, routines, and basic hygiene.

• Observe and learn from experienced teachers to develop foundational teaching and classroom management skills.

• Participate in training workshops, assessments, and sponsored diploma/qualification courses.

• Assist in maintaining classroom tidiness, cleaning toys and Montessori teaching materials.

• Contribute to school events, activities, and other initiatives.

Entry Requirements:

For Diploma (Conversion) in Early Childhood Care & Education

• obtain a Local Polytechnic Diploma/ITE Work-Study Diploma/University Degree from a State-Recognized University AND

• obtained ONE of the following:a Grade C6 in GCE O-level credit in English (EL1) OR an English Language Acceptable Alternatives (ELAA).

For Diploma in Early Childhodd Care & Education
GCE O-Level Certificate

• 5 GCE O-Level credits including English Language (EL1) OR
• 5 GCE O-Level credits and an English Language Acceptable Alternatives (ELAA)
