Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing and cooking menu items in accordance with recipes and quality standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in all food preparation and storage areas
  • Ensure mise en place is prepared and restocked before and after service hours
  • Assist with daily inventory checks and report stock levels
  • Support in receiving, unpacking, and storing deliveries properly
  • Comply with food safety and hygiene standards at all times
  • Report equipment issues or safety hazards promptly
  • Assist with plating, garnishing, and food presentation
  • Perform general cleaning and kitchen maintenance duties
  • Undertake other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Head Chef

Job Requirements:

  • Relevant culinary experience is a bonus Candidates or applicants with no experience are welcome to apply (training provided)
  • Interest in Japanese cuisine and a willingness to learn.
  • Able to work on weekends, public holidays, and on rotating shifts.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Team player with a positive attitude and good work ethics.
  • Able to work 6 days a week
