Key Responsibilities
1. Procurement Planning & Execution
- /
- Familiar with procurement and supplier management processes; able to operate independently, with a basic ability to forecast raw material price trends, and a strong sense of cost awareness and value analysis.
- Develop chemical procurement plans based on the company's production/sales needs, inventory levels, and market price trends, specifying purchase volumes, timing, and budget allocation;
- Execute the full procurement order process, track supplier delivery progress, and ensure materials arrive on time, to specification, and cost-effectively;
- Establish and maintain procurement records and supplier ledgers to support supplier tiering and management.
2. Logistics & Inventory Management
- /
- Coordinate sea freight, land transport, tank containers and other transport modes, arrange delivery, unloading, and on-site transport handover to ensure materials arrive safely and on time;
- Work closely with the warehousing/tank farm team to optimize inventory structure, control safety stock and inventory turnover days, and reduce slow-moving inventory and capital tie-up;
- Follow up on import/export customs clearance, documentation (bills of lading, invoices, certificates of origin, etc.) and compliance procedures to ensure compliance with relevant regulations in Singapore and Southeast Asia.
3. Customer Communication & Quality Control
- Make preliminary assessments and follow-ups on product quality issues, coordinate with the quality team to complete inspections and explanations, and liaise with customers to facilitate cargo acceptance;
- Act as the communication and coordination point among procurement, logistics, warehousing, sales, and quality departments, ensuring timely information flow and quick closure of issues;
- Handle exceptions during delivery (delays, losses, quality disputes, etc.), escalating and tracking resolution promptly.
4. Cost Control & Commercial Negotiation
- Collect and analyze raw material prices, freight rates, and market supply-demand changes to provide data support for procurement strategy adjustments;
- Continuously optimize procurement costs and improve procurement efficiency through negotiation, price comparison, and consolidated purchasing;
- Adjust procurement timing and strategy promptly in response to market price fluctuations, controlling procurement and logistics cost risks.
Qualifications
- 5
- Bachelor's degree or above in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering, International Trade, or a related field;
- 5+ years of experience in chemical procurement; candidates with integrated procurement-sales (trading) experience and import/export trade experience are preferred;
- Strong team spirit and customer service orientation, proactive attitude; good commercial negotiation and communication/coordination skills, skilled at building and maintaining good relationships with suppliers;
- Strong data processing and information management skills, meticulous and detail-oriented, with good planning, execution, and learning ability;
- Willing to travel occasionally within Southeast Asia (e.g., Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia).
