Trading & Portfolio Monitoring Manager

Role summary

This role will report directly to the Head of Trading & Portfolio Monitoring. Support disciplined investment guideline oversight across portfolios and funds through timely, accurate monitoring.

Key duties and responsibilities

The TPM Manager will be involved in the following activities:

• Conduct daily pre-trade and post-trade monitoring of portfolios/funds against investment guidelines; identify and investigate exceptions promptly.
• Manage the exception lifecycle: document findings, notify relevant stakeholders, track actions and timelines, follow issues through to closure, and escalate as appropriate.
• Code and test investment guidelines (via SCD), supporting accurate implementation and maintaining appropriate testing and change records.
• Prepare periodic client portfolio compliance reports.
• Prepare and maintain investment guidelines documentation and control evidence to support consistent execution and a reliable audit trail.
• Work closely with portfolio managers / product development / client partnership on investment guidelines related matters
• Contribute to team projects that strengthen controls and improve workflows, data quality and reporting; consider appropriate use of automation and generative AI tools.

Education Qualification

• Tertiary Degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics

Technical Competency

• Meticulous, rigorous and analytical
• Ability to multi-task and work under tight timeline
• Experience in coding investment guidelines
• Good understanding of financial instruments
• Knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks, including Code on CIS, CPFIS, SC, UCITS.
• Familiarity with generative AI tools and prompt design, together with a thoughtful approach to their appropriate use.
