Overview

A leading organisation in the energy and commodities sector is seeking a Trading Analyst to join its oil division. This position offers exposure to a fastpaced, datadriven environment where you will work closely with both commercial and research teams. The role combines market intelligence, trading execution, and risk management, contributing directly to the company's broader commercial objectives.

Role

Reporting to the Trading Manager, You will play a key part in enhancing the company's market research capabilities for major oilrelated products, generating insights that inform strategic and trading decisions. This includes ongoing monitoring of global and domestic macroeconomic indicators, industry policies, and business operating models to identify market trends and opportunities. You will also assess market movements and risk exposure, ensuring timely communication with relevant internal stakeholders and leadership in line with established risk control frameworks.

Requirements

The successful candidate holds a degree and brings prior experience in market research, trading, or the wider oil and commodities space. Strong analytical skills, effective informationgathering abilities, and a solid understanding of market dynamics are essential. You should demonstrate strong execution, attention to detail, accountability, and clear communication, together with a proactive and collaborative working style. Proficiency in Mandarin will be advantageous due to frequent engagement with Mandarinspeaking stakeholders.
