Job Description

The global LNG market doesn't sleep and neither does opportunity.

We are looking for a commercially sharp, analytically rigorous LNG Analyst to sit at the heart of a dynamic LNG trading desk. This role is not back-office reporting. You will directly influence trading decisions, optimise cargo flows, and shape market views in real time. If you thrive in a fast-paced trading environment where data turns into profit, this is your seat at the table.

What You'll Be Driving:

  • Deliver daily and weekly briefings covering price action, fundamentals, geopolitical developments, and trade flows that matter to traders.
  • Own and continuously refine monthly LNG supply-demand outlooks. Present scenarios and directional insights that challenge and support trading views.
  • Run and enhance LNG optimisation models to support physical cargo deployment and trading strategy. Identify arbitrage windows across basins.
  • Monitor and interpret key pricing benchmarks including JKM, TTF, and Henry Hub, analysing spreads and dislocations to generate actionable trading ideas.
  • Respond to trader queries throughout the day with sharp, data-backed insights. Your analysis will directly impact P&L decisions.
  • Enhance forecasting tools, databases, models, and visualisation platforms to continuously improve decision quality.
  • Work closely with traders, cross-barrel strategy teams, and senior management to support tactical and long-term positioning.

What You Bring to the Desk:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, or related fields
  • 2+ years of experience in LNG or commodity trading analytics
  • Strong understanding of global LNG fundamentals, trade flows, and pricing mechanisms
  • Solid grounding in valuation, optimisation, pricing, and risk management
  • Hands-on experience building and maintaining supply & demand forecasts
  • Strong analytical mindset, able to turn complex data into clear trading insight
  • Proficiency in Excel, Python, SQL, or similar analytical tools
  • Confidence to operate in a high-intensity trading environment
