Trade Support Specialist

Trading Support / Derivatives Operations Analyst | Global Commodities Trading House | Singapore

We are partnering with a leading global commodities trading house to hire a Trading Support / Derivatives Operations Analyst based in Singapore.

You will be part of a high-performing trading operations team supporting Oil, Gas and Carbon businesses, acting as the operational interface between internal stakeholders and external counterparties — ensuring trades are processed accurately and workflows run smoothly end-to-end.

What You'll Be Doing

• Reconciliation and validation of trades, costs and fees between ETRM systems and counterparties, brokerages and exchanges
• Generation and issuance of trade confirmations, contracts and invoices, and resolution of mismatches and amendments
• Validation and approval of broker invoice payments
• Management of Carbon Emissions Credits through delivery and payment processes, including inventory administration across various registries
• Monitoring of counterparty and credit risk exposures, collateral management and margin calls
• Exchange administration (ICE, CME, SGX) covering trading limits, fees and user setups
• Contributing as a subject matter expert on new business and product initiatives
• Ensuring practices comply with internal control guidelines and external regulations

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 3 years of experience in trading operations or middle/back office within oil, commodities or related markets
• Strong reconciliation background with rigorous attention to detail and proven ability to resolve booking and P&L discrepancies
• Proficiency in Excel; comfort with formula-driven spreadsheets, lookups and reconciliation techniques
• Familiarity with trade/order management systems, exchange processes and margining workflows
• Strong communicator who is reliable under time pressure and takes proactive ownership of tasks

Bonus Points If You Have

• Commercial awareness of Oil, LNG or Carbon trading conventions and OTC bilateral mechanics
• Prior experience with carbon registries and carbon contract workflows
• Exposure to OSN/Dubai partial structures and physical delivery contract generation
• Experience with regional banks, custodians or invoicing/ERP systems
• Basic scripting or automation skills (Power Query, VBA or equivalent)
