Job Description
We are hiring a Trade Support Analyst to join the Markets Operations team supporting a leading global financial institution. This role works closely with Sales, Trading, Technology, Legal, and Compliance teams to ensure smooth trade execution, strong operational risk control, and full regulatory compliance across the trade lifecycle.
The role is well-suited for candidates with prior trading desk support or post-trade operations experience who thrive in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment.
Key Responsibilities
How You Will Fulfil Your Potential
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with Sales, Trading, Technology, and other stakeholders to resolve complex trade-related issues in a timely manner
- Manage real-time trade booking exceptions, coordinating internally between Trading and Sales desks
- Coordinate with external clients and internal teams to ensure timely execution of:
- Economic affirmations
- Legal confirmations
- Trade settlements
- Monitor and manage operational risk throughout the full trade processing lifecycle
- Partner with Legal, Compliance, and Operations teams to ensure adherence to:
- Financial regulatory reforms
- Internal risk management frameworks
- Industry-wide market practices
- Implement firm-wide policies governing the trade confirmation process to strengthen fraud prevention controls
- Support the build-out and enhancement of systems and processes to meet regulatory, industry, and new business requirements
- Collaborate with regional and global Operations teams on strategic initiatives and projects
Requirements
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (BA or BS required)
- Strong attention to detail with a structured and disciplined approach to work
- Ability to manage priorities and perform effectively in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage multiple stakeholders
- Sound judgment, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with ability to learn new systems quickly
Preferred Qualifications
- 25 years of experience in Trade Support, Markets Operations, or Financial Services Operations
- Prior exposure to trading desk support, confirmations, or settlements
- Understanding of financial products and post-trade processes
- Familiarity with regulatory and compliance-driven operating environments
- Experience working in a global financial institution is an advantage
