Trade Settlements Executive

SUMMARY

CLIENT: Oil trading firm

THE ROLE

Handle AR and AP for physical products trading transactions.
Issue Import LC and negotiate Export LC with banks
Review trade contracts
Coordinate with operations team regarding trade and shipment information
Follow up on the approval for payments
Handle payments for cargo and direct expenses
Maintain updated trade information in the system for the month-end accounts closing
Provide information on accounts receivables & payables for Treasury's cashflow planning
Any other adhoc duties

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting / Finance / Banking / Commerce / Maritime Studies or related disciplines
3 years of relevant experience in handling payments/invoicing/trade finance
LC knowledge will be an added advantage
Familiar in oil & gas trading / shipping sector
