Morgan McKinley is hiring a Trade Settlement Analyst for a contract (until 28 Feb 2027) with a potential to go perm.
Responsibilities
- Execute and manage cross-border equity settlement processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Conduct reconciliation of stock and cash, investigate discrepancies, and follow up on settlement breaks.
- Initiate stock borrow and monitor stock returns for failed trades to ensure smooth settlement.
- Liaise with internal teams, clients, and custodians to coordinate settlement activities and funding arrangements.
- Oversee Exchange-Traded Fund (ETF) creation and redemption processes, monitor trade settlements via Central Counterparty (CCP) terminals, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., stamp duty).
- Manage margin payment arrangements and perform related administrative tasks to support settlement operations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or at least 2 years of experience in Equity Settlement or related financial services roles.
- Strong analytical, detail-oriented, and control-focused with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, confident in articulating ideas, with proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
- Solid understanding of financial markets, front-to-back trade flow, and risk management principles.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently with a continuous learning mindset.
