Job Description

We are supporting a global financial services institution to look for a proactive and detail-oriented Trade Operations Associate to join their Middle Office team. In this role, you will act as the primary operational bridge between the trading floor, risk management, and post-trade teams. You will maintain robust daily control frameworks, verify trade capture accuracy, and partner directly with traders, marketers, and senior leadership to support business growth and process improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Trade Verification & Control

Perform real-time and daily trade verification across all business lines, matching trade details against blotters, broker confirmations, trade tickets, and external execution platforms.
Execute established control procedures to detect, investigate, and resolve trade capture errors, omissions, or misallocations promptly.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Trading Floor Support

Serve as the primary Trade Control point of contact for traders, marketers, and internal operational departments.
Work in a fast-paced environment to deliver rapid, high-accuracy responses to time-sensitive inquiries from the trading floor.
Partner with senior leadership to identify evolving business needs and contribute to tailored operational solutions and change initiatives.

Reconciliation & Reporting

Perform daily reconciliations between internal trading systems and external platforms/broker records to identify and resolve trade breaks.
Generate and distribute daily Trade Control reports, monitoring risk metrics, outstanding confirmations, and control exceptions.

Audit & Record Keeping

Maintain meticulous, organized audit trails and control logs for internal risk management and external regulatory reviews.
Ensure all daily control execution records strictly adhere to compliance and governance guidelines.

Qualifications & Requirements

At least 4 years of experience in Trade Control, Middle Office, or Trade Support within capital markets, investment banking, asset management, or commodity trading.
Strong understanding of financial markets, trading mechanics, and financial instruments (e.g., structured notes, repos, FX, Equities, Fixed Income, or Derivatives).
Familiarity with trade capture systems, trade matching platforms and advanced Excel functions.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the confidence to communicate effectively with traders, marketers, and senior management.
