We are a growing trading company specializing in rebar, steel, and construction materials. We are seeking a hands-on Trade Finance Executive with experience in physical commodities trading to support our daily operations and financial processes.
This role is ideal for candidates familiar with bulk trading, shipment coordination, and LC documentation.
Key Responsibilities
. Manage Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) for steel and building materials trading transactions
. Handle Import Letter of Credit (LC) issuance and Export LC negotiation for bulk cargo shipments
. Review and verify trade contracts, invoices, packing lists, BL, and other shipping documents
. Work closely with Operations / Logistics teams to track shipment schedules and cargo status
. Follow up on internal payment approvals and ensure timely settlement with suppliers and vendors
. Process payments related to cargo, freight, port charges, and other trading-related expenses
. Maintain accurate trade transaction records for month-end closing and reporting
. Liaise with Treasury / Finance on receivables and payables to support cash flow planning
. Assist in improving internal processes for trade finance and documentation
. Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned
Requirements
. Degree in Accounting / Finance / Banking / Commerce / Maritime Studies or equivalent
. Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in trade finance, preferably in steel, commodities, or building materials trading
. Hands-on experience with LC (Letter of Credit) transactions is highly preferred
. Familiar with physical trading flow (contract → shipment → documentation → payment)
. Strong numerical skills and attention to detail
. Able to work in a fast-paced trading environment
. Good coordination and communication skills

. Experience in rebar / steel / construction materials / commodities trading companies
. Familiar with bulk shipment documentation and international trade practices
. Able to handle multiple transactions simultaneously with accuracy
