Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Trade Marketing Development:

  • Create and implement comprehensive trade marketing strategies that align seamlessly with commercial and marketing team, driving brand engagement and accelerating sales growth.
  • Continuously monitor and analyze market trends and consumer insights to refine marketing initiatives, ensuring maximum effectiveness in the field.

2. Budget Oversight and Optimization:

  • Strategically manage the trade marketing budget (BTL), ensuring optimal allocation of resources towards high-impact initiatives that yield measurable results.
  • Track expenditures and ROI on marketing initiatives, employing data-driven insights to make timely adjustments and enhance overall performance

3. In-Store Execution Mastery:

  • Champion trade marketing excellence through precise in-store planning and execution, guaranteeing that our products are prominently displayed and adhere to industry best practices.
  • Leverage key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess effectiveness and recalibrate strategies for enhanced results.

4. Enhanced Brand Visibility and Engagement:

  • Spearhead the execution of brand channel priorities, strategically positioning our products to boost visibility and engagement at the point of sale.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to design and implement compelling marketing campaigns that elevate brand awareness and stimulate consumer interest in retail environments.

5. Collaborative Joint Business Planning:

  • Partner with distributors and key modern off-trade retailers to develop and execute mutually beneficial Joint Business Plans (JBPs) that foster sustained growth.
  • Nurture strong relationships with retailers to ensure alignment on merchandising strategies and promotional activities.

6. Field Engagement and Performance Analysis:

  • Conduct regular field visits to assess brand visibility, verify compliance with merchandising standards, and uncover areas for improvement.
  • Deliver actionable insights and feedback based on field observations, enabling the refinement of strategies and enhancement of overall marketing effectiveness.

Key Roles:

  • Planning and support to execute promotional activities targeted at distribution channels
  • To create Trade BI Plan for strategic brand
  • Set up KPI for core activation and cycle promotion
  • Review BTL effectiveness by quarterly
  • Providing and deploying sales promotion tools
  • Supporting in-store displays and promotional activities

Key Relationships

  • Marketing, Commercial, Finance, Key retailers , distributor , A&P vendors.

Years of Experience:

  • 2 to 5 years of experience in trade marketing, brand management, or a related field, preferably within the consumer goods industry.
  • Experience working with retailers and distributors is highly desirable.

Education Level:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • A Master's degree in Marketing or an MBA would be an advantage but is not mandatory.

Skill Sets:

  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies that align with business goals.
  • Analytical Skills: Proficient in analyzing market trends and consumer insights to inform decision-making.
  • Budget Management: Experience in managing budgets, tracking expenditures, and calculating ROI on marketing initiatives.
  • In-Store Execution: Strong understanding of retail environments and best practices for product placement and visibility.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, finance, and external partners.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for creating compelling marketing materials and presentations.
  • Data-Driven Approach: Familiarity with tools and software for tracking KPIs and analyzing marketing effectiveness.
  • Project Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Field Engagement: Willingness to conduct field visits and engage with retailers to gather insights and improve strategies.

Other Requirements:

  • Familiarity with trade marketing tools and software, such as CRM systems and marketing analytics platforms.
  • Knowledge of consumer behavior and market dynamics in the relevant industry (e.g., FMCG, retail).
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including retailers and distributors.
  • A proactive and results-oriented mindset, with a focus on achieving measurable outcomes.
  • Willingness to travel as needed for field visits and retailer engagement.
