Trade Finance Specialist

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Trade Finance Specialist to join our Trade Finance Operations team in Singapore. In this role, you will manage trade finance transactions, ensure compliance with regulations, and provide expert support to clients and internal stakeholders across the APAC region. This is an excellent opportunity to deepen your knowledge of trade finance products and end-to-end processes while working in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

. Handle end-to-end trade finance transactions, including issuing, advising, confirming, and discounting Letters of Credit (LCs), processing Bank Guarantees (BGs), and managing Standby LCs.

. Ensure timely execution and compliance with all relevant regulations.

. Perform thorough due diligence on transaction structures, counterparties, and goods involved. Ensure strict adherence to sanctions, anti-money laundering (AML) policies, and internal requirements.

. Manage trade finance documentation, coordinate the dispatch of trade documents, and perform control and reconciliation tasks to ensure operational accuracy.

. Provide advisory services to internal and external clients on a transactional basis, including guidance on the terms and pricing of trade finance products.

. Work closely with front office staff, legal teams, and escalation units to resolve transaction issues, secure approvals, and ensure seamless service delivery.

Your Team

You will be part of the Trade Finance Operations team based in Singapore. Our team provides expert product support for the Trade Finance business in the APAC region, working closely with Commodity Traders, Corporate and Institutional Clients, and Wealth Management Clients. We also collaborate with various internal UBS stakeholders, including Compliance, Legal, and Credit teams. Your Experience and Skills

You Have:

• A degree in Business or related discipline
• A minimum of 6 years experience in a financial Institution, specializing in Trade Finance products, including LCs, Collections, and BGs
• Prior experience in Commodity Trade Finance is highly preferred
• Proven experience interacting with stakeholders at all levels of an organization.
• Strong computer skills and a willingness to learn new processes and applications.
