Oversee the end-to-end Trade Finance Operations including LCs, Document Collections, Bill Discounting etc to ensure no lapses and help the business to achieve its overall business priorities and goals
Oversee documentation and record-keeping to ensure audit trail for all Trade Finance transactions
Ensure all transactions are processed in accordance to the Bank's AML/Sanctions Compliance policies
Maintain and update internal policies relating to Trade Finance
Liaise closely with internal (Compliance, Treasury, Risk) and external stakeholders (FIs, Clients) to ensure smooth trade flows and high level of customer satisfaction
Lead, coach and mentor junior trade finance staff
Report the Team's performance to Senior Management on a monthly basis
Identify areas for process improvements and drive changes to ensure efficiency in processing trade finance transactions
Identify and escalate any (potential) operational/regulatory inherent risks for it to be addressed and for further investigations
Ensure good morale within the Team and build strong rapport with the individual Team members
Ensure continuous improvement in the Team processes and a Growth mindset within the Team
Ensure that the Team comply with all internal and external guidelines and policies and regulatory requirements
Adhere to Bank's Code of Conduct and help to drive Bank culture
Be the overall liaising party pertaining to Business Continuity Plan for Trade Finance Products
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
At least 8 years of experience in trade finance or international banking, including 2-3 years in a supervisory role
Various and extensive understanding on documentary letter of credit and trade finance structure is required for accurate document checks
A sincere attitude and friendly personality are required to coach team members and pursue a sound organizational culture
Proficiency in Korean is recommended to facilitate smooth communication with the Head Office in Korea and to effectively understand its policies
