Role Overview
In this role, you will work closely with your manager and be responsible for trade development across North East Asia (Japan, Taiwan, and Korea) to the Middle East Gulf region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather market feedback, analyse data, and support the development of pricing policies.
  • Monitor and adjust pricing strategies in line with market trends, competitor activities, and management's rate policies.
  • Process pricing and rate enquiries from agencies covering the North East Asia to Middle East Gulf trade lane.
  • Implement strategies to maximise revenue, profitability, and vessel utilisation.
  • Monitor weekly performance and prepare forecasts.
  • Drive sales performance, volume targets, and budget achievement among agencies.
  • Set origin port allocations (COA) and sales targets by country and customer (CSA) in line with the approved budget.
  • Manage pricing and marketing systems.
  • Participate in the annual budget planning process

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a commercial or trade role within the shipping industry.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Maritime Studies, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Proficiency in data analysis.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications (Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
