Trade Credit Risk Underwriter (Singapore)

A leading global specialty insurer is looking to appoint an experiencedTrade Credit Risk Underwriterto join its Singapore team.

The successful candidate will bring a strongstructured credit risk backgroundand will be responsible for assessing complex credit risks, developing broker relationships and supporting the continued growth and profitability of the portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Underwrite and manage a portfolio ofTrade Credit risksacross the Singapore and wider regional market.
• The role will include analyzing the risk based on submissions provided by intermediaries and provide quotations for the purpose of binding the risk eventually.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers, clients and other key market stakeholders.
• Analyse financial information and credit data to make informed underwriting decisions.
• Structure terms, pricing, limits and coverage in line with underwriting appetite and risk parameters.
• Manage and develop the existing portfolio while identifying opportunities for profitable new business.
• Contribute to underwriting strategy and the ongoing development of the Trade Credit portfolio.

Key Requirements

• Strong experience in Trade Credit underwriting, Broking or Credit Analysis
• Structured credit risk experience is essential.
• Strong understanding of financial analysis, credit assessment and risk management.
• Proven ability to assess and structure complex credit risks.
• Strong broker and client relationship management skills.
• Commercial mindset with the ability to balance technical underwriting discipline with business development.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
