SmartStream Technical Lead

Role Overview

The SmartStream Technical Lead will drive the technical implementation of SmartStream TLM for reconciliation across Markets and Private Banking platforms, including instance consolidation, rules engine optimization, and data integration. The role will lead configuration, architecture alignment, and development oversight.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead technical design and implementation of SmartStream TLM reconciliation platform
• Design target architecture for SmartStream instance consolidation
• Oversee configuration of matching rules, workflows, and exception management
• Define data integration and feed architecture across trading, accounting, and custodial systems
• Lead optimization of SmartStream rules engine performance and matching efficiency
• Ensure alignment of reconciliation models across trade, position, cash, and finance reconciliation
• Provide technical oversight for development, integration, and testing activities
• Support data migration and environment consolidation
• Coordinate with infrastructure and DevOps teams for release and environment management
• Work closely with business stakeholders, operations teams, and reconciliation SMEs

Required Skills & Experience

10-15 years experience in capital markets technology

6+ years hands-on experience with SmartStream TLM / TLM Reconciliations

Strong expertise in:

• Matching rule configuration
• Exception workflows
• Data feed integration
• SmartStream database architecture

Experience in reconciliation across trade, cash, and GL

Strong SQL and database knowledge (Oracle or similar)

Experience in large reconciliation transformation or platform consolidation programs

Understanding of trade lifecycle and accounting reconciliation processes

Experience working with Tier-1 banks or global financial institutions
