As a Tiler, you will be responsible for installing and finishing tiles to deliver high-quality, durable, and aesthetically pleasing surfaces. Key responsibilities include:
- Laying out, aligning, and straightening tiles using levels, squares, and straightedges.
- Planning and executing tile layouts to achieve the required design and patterns.
- Cutting, trimming, and shaping tiles to fit around fixtures, corners, and irregular spaces using hand and power tools.
- Applying mortar, adhesives, and grout, ensuring proper finishing and cleaning of joints.
- Mixing and preparing plaster, mortar, cement, and other materials to form a solid base for tiling works.
- Measuring and marking surfaces according to drawings, blueprints, or site requirements.
- Leveling and preparing concrete surfaces, underbeds, and supports to ensure a stable foundation.
- Installing anchor bolts, wires, and brackets where necessary.
- Preparing surfaces for tiling by applying cement mortar coats, lath, or waterproofing materials.
- Estimating labor, materials, and project timelines to support cost planning.
