Job Summary
You will prepare surfaces and lay various types of tiles on walls and floors, ensuring quality finishes and compliance with safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Calculate the quantity of tiles and adhesive needed for specific areas to optimize material use
- Cut tiles to required sizes and shapes using hand cutters or bench tools for precise fitting
- Prepare surfaces by leveling with mortar, sand, or cement to create a stable base for tiling
- Lay tiles including ceramic, clay, slate, marble, glass, and intricate mosaic designs on floors and walls
- Apply grout and finishing materials to secure tiles and complete the installation
- Inspect tile installations to ensure an aesthetically pleasing and durable finish
- Follow health and safety regulations to maintain a safe work environment
Required competencies and certifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in tiling

- Ability to work independently to complete tiling projects efficiently and accurately
