Tile setter

Position Summary:

A Tile Setter is responsible for installing tiles on floors, walls, ceilings, and other surfaces, ensuring proper alignment, cutting, and finishing to achieve durable and aesthetically pleasing results.

Key Responsibilities:

. Measure and mark surfaces to be tiled, following design plans or layout instructions.

. Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and applying adhesive materials.

. Cut tiles to fit around obstacles and edges using hand tools or power tools.

. Install tiles in the correct pattern and alignment, ensuring even spacing and secure placement.

. Apply grout and sealants between tiles, finishing surfaces to a high standard.

. Inspect completed work for accuracy, durability, and quality.

. Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work environment.

. Follow workplace safety standards and building codes.

Requirements:

. Proven experience as a Tile Setter or similar role.

. Knowledge of tile materials, adhesives, and grouting techniques.

. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings or blueprints.

. Skilled in using tile-cutting tools and measuring equipment.

. Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.

. Physical stamina and ability to work in various environments.
