Job purpose
The Therapy Aide supports and assists Physiotherapist and Occupational Therapist in implementing the rehabilitation program for clients, as recommended by the therapists.
Duties and responsibilities
- Assist the Therapists in carrying out rehab service to clients from any programme.
- Ensure all therapist-approved programs are executed as planned, including individual and group sessions.
- Provide accurate and timely documentation of all activities conducted relating to clients.
- Report any significant change in clients functional status to the Therapist.
- Attend and participate in in-service training sessions.
- Maintain proper records and houskeeping of rehabilitation equipment, along with the safety standards of activity areas, fittings, and equipment.
- Promptly report any incident or injury sustained by clients during work to the Centre Manager
- Perform administrative duties related to the Rehab department's work.
- Any other duties that the Centre Manager or Rehab Manager may assign from time to time.
Qualifications & Skills Required
- Diploma/ HMI certificate in a related field
- WSQ qualification in Therapy
- At least 1 year of relevant experience working in an elderly setting is an advantage
