Job Description: Test Manager – Core Banking
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Test Manager with a strong background in Core Banking systems to lead end-to-end testing initiatives for large-scale banking programs. The ideal candidate will bring deep domain knowledge in banking along with proven experience in managing testing lifecycles, teams, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage end-to-end testing delivery across Core Banking applications
- Define and implement test strategies, test plans, and governance frameworks
- Drive SIT, UAT, Regression, and Integration testing phases effectively
- Manage and mentor a team of QA/Test Engineers, ensuring quality deliverables
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and development teams
- Ensure alignment with banking compliance, risk, and regulatory requirements
- Track and report test progress, defects, risks, and quality metrics to leadership
- Drive defect management and resolution across multiple stakeholders
- Identify opportunities for test optimization and process improvements
Required Skills & Experience
- 8–10 years of experience in Software Testing, with recent experience as a Test Manager
- Strong experience in Banking Domain, preferably in Core Banking systems
- Hands-on experience managing large-scale testing programs
- Strong understanding of testing methodologies and lifecycle (STLC)
- Experience handling cross-functional teams and multiple stakeholders
- Exposure to test management tools (e.g., JIRA, HP ALM, Azure DevOps or similar)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Good to Have
- Experience in UOB or similar banking environments
- Exposure to test automation frameworks/tools
- Certifications such as ISTQB, Agile, or PMP
- Experience in Agile / Scrum delivery models
